Ingredients
Whipped Coffee Mixture
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons instant coffee
- 4 tablespoons hot water
To Serve
- Milk (hot or cold, about 3/4 cup)
- Ice cubes (optional, if serving cold)
Instructions
- Combine ingredients: Add the granulated sugar, instant coffee, and hot water to a small mixing bowl. Ensure the water is hot to help dissolve the sugar and coffee effectively.
- Whip the mixture: Using a hand mixer, blend the ingredients continuously for 3 to 4 minutes without stopping. The mixture will start dark and gradually lighten, thickening into a whipped, creamy topping.
- Prepare milk base: Fill a small cup or glass about three-quarters full with your choice of hot or cold milk. For a refreshing cold coffee, add ice cubes before topping.
- Assemble and serve: Carefully scoop the whipped coffee mixture on top of the milk. Serve immediately and enjoy the layered texture and bold coffee flavor.
- Storage: If you have leftover whipped coffee, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before reuse as it may firm up.
Notes
- For a sweeter or stronger coffee, adjust the sugar and coffee quantities to taste.
- Use instant coffee for the best whipping results as brewed coffee won’t whip.
- This recipe yields one serving but can be easily doubled or tripled.
- For a vegan option, use plant-based milk such as almond, oat, or soy milk.
- Whipped coffee texture may soften after refrigeration; re-whip briefly if needed before serving.
