Ingredients
Fruits
- 2 ½ cups frozen strawberries
- 4 cups diced fresh watermelon (about 1 mini watermelon)
Wet Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon honey (use maple syrup for vegan option)
- ½ cup plain yogurt (use dairy-free yogurt for vegan option)
Optional
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Place all of the ingredients—frozen strawberries, diced watermelon, honey, yogurt, and protein powder—into a blender.
- Blend Smooth: Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, without any large chunks of fruit.
- Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add water or milk of your choice in 2-tablespoon increments and blend again until the desired consistency is attained.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately for best freshness and flavor.
Notes
- To make this smoothie vegan, substitute honey with maple syrup and use a plant-based yogurt.
- For a protein boost, add vanilla protein powder, but this is optional.
- Using frozen strawberries keeps the smoothie cold without needing ice, which can dilute flavor.
- This smoothie is best consumed right away but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; blend again before serving.
