Ingredients
Milkshake Ingredients
- ¼ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup heavy cream (or substitute for milk)
- 5 scoops (about 2 cups) Tillamook Oregon Strawberry Ice Cream
Toppings
- Whipped cream
- Fresh strawberry (for topping)
Instructions
- Temper the ice cream: Let the strawberry ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes to soften slightly for easier blending. At the same time, chill your milkshake glass in the freezer for the best presentation and cool drinking experience.
- Combine ingredients: In the jar of a high-speed blender, pour the whole milk and heavy cream, then add the softened strawberry ice cream.
- Blend the milkshake: Start blending on low speed and gradually increase to medium, blending until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stop once or twice if needed to scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure even mixing.
- Adjust consistency: Taste the milkshake and add more milk if you want it thinner or add more ice cream to thicken the shake according to your preference. Blend briefly again after adjustments.
- Serve: Pour the finished strawberry milkshake into the chilled glass. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and garnish with half a fresh strawberry for a classic look and extra flavor.
Notes
- Allowing the ice cream to soften slightly helps the blending process and creates a smoother milkshake.
- Chilling the glass keeps the milkshake cold longer and enhances the overall experience.
- You can substitute heavy cream with additional milk if you prefer a lighter shake.
- Use a high-speed blender for best texture and quick blending.
- Adjust the thickness to your liking by varying the amount of milk or ice cream.
