Ingredients
Potatoes
- 1 ½ pounds baby potatoes (cleaned and dried)
Seasoning and Coating
- 2 tablespoons oil of choice (e.g., olive oil)
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Potatoes: For air fryer, preheat to 400°F; for oven, preheat to 450°F. While heating, cut each baby potato in halves or quarters depending on size.
- Mix Seasoning: In a large bowl, whisk together oil, melted butter, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until combined.
- Coat Potatoes: Add potato pieces to the bowl with the seasoning mixture and toss thoroughly to ensure each potato piece is evenly coated.
- Cooking in Air Fryer: Place the coated potatoes in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through to promote even cooking, until golden and crispy on the outside and soft inside.
- Cooking in Oven: Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Spread the coated potatoes in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes or until edges are golden and crispy and potatoes are tender inside.
- Serve: Remove potatoes from heat and optionally sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Cut potatoes evenly to ensure uniform cooking.
- Use a neutral oil or olive oil according to preference.
- Shaking or stirring halfway during air frying is key for even crispness.
- Feel free to adjust seasoning to taste and add fresh herbs after cooking if desired.
- These potatoes pair well with grilled meats, salads, or as a party appetizer.
