Delicious and easy-to-make Roast Beef Sliders featuring tender deli roast beef, melted provolone, and a flavorful horseradish mayo, all layered inside sweet Hawaiian rolls and baked to golden perfection with a buttery, poppyseed topping.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients

Slider Base

  • 12 Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 lb thin sliced deli roast beef
  • 12 slices deli provolone cheese

Horseradish Mayo

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish

Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppyseeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to make sure it’s ready for baking the sliders evenly.
  2. Prepare the Baking Pan: Grease a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray and line it with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. Slice the Rolls: Without separating the rolls completely, slice the entire cluster of Hawaiian rolls horizontally into two large pieces (tops and bottoms) to create a base and a top layer.
  4. Make Horseradish Mayo: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and prepared horseradish until well mixed. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls placed in the pan.
  5. Layer the Sliders: On top of the horseradish mayo-spread bottom rolls, add 6 slices of provolone cheese, layer the sliced roast beef evenly, and then add the remaining 6 slices of provolone cheese.
  6. Bake to Melt Cheese: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt fully and the roast beef to warm.
  7. Prepare Butter Mixture: While baking, combine melted butter, dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and poppyseeds in a small bowl, mixing well.
  8. Top and Bake Again: Remove the pan from the oven, carefully add the top half of the rolls over the layered ingredients, pour the butter mixture evenly over the rolls, then cover the pan with foil.
  9. Final Baking: Bake covered for 10 minutes to infuse flavors, remove the foil, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown and slightly crispy.
  10. Serve: Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Using Hawaiian rolls adds a sweet contrast to the savory beef and cheese.
  • You can adjust the amount of horseradish to your spice preference.
  • For a crispier top, broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes after baking if desired.
  • These sliders are perfect for parties and can be made ahead and reheated.
  • Substitute provolone with your favorite cheese for a different flavor twist.
