Instructions
- Prepare: If you don’t have pre-frozen sliced banana, peel a banana and slice it into coins. Place these slices in a sealed bag and freeze them until solid. This step is best done the night before to ensure a creamy and chilled smoothie.
- Blend: In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen banana slices, chopped Fuji apple, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, vanilla protein powder, almond butter, apple pie spice, salt, and ice cubes. Blend on high for 90 to 120 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Test: Before serving, taste the smoothie. Depending on the sweetness level of your protein powder, you may want to add a sweetener such as honey, maple syrup, or a sugar substitute to suit your preference.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into a cup or glasses and enjoy immediately for the best taste and texture. For an optional treat, add a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle a little extra apple pie spice for garnish.
