A refreshing and homemade Peach Lemonade recipe that combines the natural sweetness of peaches with the tartness of fresh lemons, perfect for a cool and invigorating summer drink.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes (including chilling time)
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water (filtered if possible)
  • 2 cups peeled and coarsely chopped peaches
  • 3/4 up to 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 to 6 large lemons (about 3/4 cup lemon juice)

Serving Suggestions

  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Peach slices for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Simmer Peaches: In a medium pot, combine the water, peeled and chopped peaches, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce and Simmer: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 2–4 minutes until the peaches become tender.
  3. Blend: Remove the pot from heat and allow the mixture to cool for 5–10 minutes. Carefully transfer the contents into a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  4. Strain: Pour the blended peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher or bowl to remove solids. Discard solids or save them for smoothies if desired.
  5. Add Lemon: Stir in 3/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice into the strained peach liquid. Adjust lemon juice amount to taste if desired.
  6. Chill: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the Peach Lemonade for 2–3 hours or until fully chilled.
  7. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Peach Lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices, peach slices, or fresh mint leaves if desired for an added fresh touch.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of your peaches and your personal preference.
  • The solids discarded after straining can be used in smoothies to avoid waste and add extra peach flavor.
  • For an adult twist, consider adding a splash of vodka or white rum when serving.
  • Make sure to use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor.
