Ingredients
Slider Ingredients
- 12 pack slider rolls, halved lengthwise (recommend Kings Hawaiian rolls)
- 5 oz salami, thinly sliced
- 5 oz pepperoni, thinly sliced
- 9 slices provolone cheese
- 1/3 cup pepperoncini, sliced
- 1/3 cup pickled hot cherry peppers, sliced
Seasoned Butter
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed (fresh preferred)
For Serving
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders evenly.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet. Layer with slices of salami, then pepperoni, followed by a layer of provolone cheese. Add sliced hot cherry peppers and peperoncini on top. Finish by placing the roll tops back on.
- Prepare Garlic Italian Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Italian seasoning, and crushed fresh garlic. Mix thoroughly to infuse the flavors together.
- Brush the Sliders: Generously brush the garlic Italian butter over the top of each sandwich, making sure to coat all the nooks and crannies for maximum flavor.
- Bake Covered: Cover the entire baking sheet with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the rolls turn golden brown and the cheese melts perfectly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, slice the sliders as desired, and serve hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Using fresh garlic instead of jarred enhances the flavor significantly.
- Kings Hawaiian rolls are recommended for their soft texture and slightly sweet flavor, which balances the spicy and savory fillings.
- Covering the sliders with foil during baking helps to keep them moist and ensures the cheese melts evenly.
- Serve immediately after baking for the best texture and taste.
- For a milder version, reduce or omit the hot cherry peppers and pepperoncini.
