Ingredients
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Secret Sauce
- 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dill relish or chopped pickles
- Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetables and Toppings
- 3 cups leaf lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup baby pickles, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season it with onion powder, dried oregano, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. This step ensures the beef is well-flavored from the start.
- Cook the beef: Cook the beef mixture for about 8 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula to evenly cook and mix the spices throughout. Once browned and fully cooked, remove from heat and set aside.
- Make the secret sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, sugar-free ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle juice, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and dill relish or chopped pickles. Season with salt and pepper to taste until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Assemble the bowls: Divide chopped lettuce and sliced cucumbers evenly among four serving bowls. Top each with halved cherry tomatoes and thinly sliced red onions for freshness and texture.
- Add the beef: Spoon the cooked ground beef evenly over the vegetable base in each bowl, creating the main protein component.
- Serve: Drizzle each bowl generously with the prepared creamy burger sauce. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture experience.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner protein option.
- If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the secret sauce mix.
- For added crunch, sprinkle some toasted sunflower seeds or chopped nuts on top.
- Make sure not to overcook the beef to keep it juicy and tender.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
