Ingredients
Strawberries
- 32 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled
Cream Mixture
- 16 ounces sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (such as La Lechera)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Topping (Optional)
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Slice the fresh strawberries into thin, even slices to ensure they mix well with the creamy mixture and offer consistent texture in every bite.
- Mix Cream Base: In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, evaporated milk, heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture for about 2 minutes until smooth and slightly aerated.
- Assemble Dessert: In serving cups or bowls, spoon about 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries as the base layer. Then pour 1/2 cup of the prepared cream mixture over the strawberries evenly.
- Serve: Optionally, top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream for added richness and visual appeal. Serve immediately or refrigerate briefly until ready to enjoy.
