Ingredients
Pumpkin Mixture
- 1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (from the divided sugar)
Cream Mixture
- 1 ½ cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (remaining divided sugar)
Other
- 2 cups brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 packages dry ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- Whipped cream for topping
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare Pumpkin Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, salt, and ¼ cup of the granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and set aside.
- Make Cream Mixture: In a separate large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, softened cream cheese, and ¼ cup granulated sugar until creamy and smooth. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated and light.
- Soak Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled brewed coffee, making sure not to soak them too long to avoid sogginess. Arrange a single layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or trifle bowl.
- Layer Pumpkin Mixture: Spread half of the prepared pumpkin mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
- Layer Cream Mixture: Spoon half of the mascarpone and cream mixture on top of the pumpkin layer and smooth it evenly.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers, then the remaining pumpkin mixture, followed by the remaining cream mixture. Smooth the top layer carefully.
- Chill Dessert: Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld and dessert to set properly.
- Garnish and Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder for an elegant finish.
Notes
- Do not soak ladyfingers for too long in coffee to prevent sogginess.
- Use full-fat mascarpone and cream cheese for best texture and flavor.
- Chilling overnight enhances the flavor and texture of the tiramisu.
