Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
- 1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles
- ½ cup vanilla ice cream (1 scoop)
- ¼ cup Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
- 1 tablespoon dark creme de cacao liqueur
- 1 cup hot chocolate (prepared hot chocolate drink)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Mini chocolate chips, coarse sanding sugar, additional chocolate syrup, and chocolate sprinkles (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rim: Place the chocolate syrup on a small plate. Turn the glass or mug upside down and dip the rim into the chocolate syrup to coat it evenly.
- Coat the Rim with Sprinkles: Immediately dip the syrup-coated rim into a shallow tray filled with chocolate sprinkles. Ensure the rim is fully coated for a decorative and flavorful edge.
- Add Ice Cream: Place one scoop (½ cup) of vanilla ice cream into the prepared glass or mug, forming the creamy base for the drink.
- Pour the Liqueurs: Add ¼ cup of Kahlua and 1 tablespoon of dark creme de cacao liqueur directly over the ice cream, infusing the drink with rich coffee and chocolate notes.
- Add Hot Chocolate: Slowly pour 1 cup of hot chocolate over the ice cream and liqueurs, allowing them to combine into a warm, creamy beverage.
- Top with Whipped Cream and Garnish: Finish by topping the drink with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Garnish with mini chocolate chips, coarse sanding sugar, additional chocolate syrup, and more chocolate sprinkles for extra indulgence and visual appeal.
Notes
- Use high-quality hot chocolate and premium ice cream for the best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of liqueurs according to your taste preference or for a milder cocktail.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit Kahlua and dark creme de cacao and add extra chocolate syrup or flavored syrups.
- Serve immediately while hot to enjoy the melting ice cream effect.
- Use a heat-resistant glass or mug suitable for hot beverages.
