Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 8 oz frozen peaches (about 1 heaping cup)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream (good quality, packed tightly)
- 1 fresh peach, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Blend peaches and liquids: Combine the frozen peaches, milk, and vanilla extract in a high-speed blender. Blend until the peaches are chopped and the mixture is smooth and uniform.
- Add and blend ice cream: Add the vanilla ice cream to the blender. Blend again just until smooth and thick, using a blender tamper if needed to press ingredients towards the blades.
- Serve and garnish: Pour the thick milkshake into glasses. Top with whipped cream and chopped fresh peach slices, or stir whipped cream into the shake to create a swirl effect. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a thicker shake, use less milk or more ice cream.
- Fresh peaches can be used instead of frozen if preferred; add ice cubes for chill.
- Use full-fat milk and high-quality vanilla ice cream for the richest flavor.
- To keep the shake cold longer, chill the glass beforehand.
- Whipped cream and fresh peach garnish are optional but add elegance and extra flavor.
