Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Roll Dough: Roll the 12-inch pie crust dough into a circular shape on a lightly floured surface to prepare for filling.
- Mix Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the cranberries, raspberries, orange zest, granulated sugar, and salt, gently mixing to distribute the ingredients evenly.
- Assemble Galette: Pour the mixed berries into the center of the rolled-out dough, leaving about a 1 ½ inch border free around the edges for folding.
- Fold Crust: Carefully fold the edges of the dough up over the berry filling, pinching the dough to create pleats and secure the shape, while leaving the center berries exposed.
- Brush Crust: Brush the exposed dough edges with heavy cream to promote a beautiful golden-brown finish during baking.
