Cool Whip Candy is an easy no-bake Easter candy recipe featuring colorful, fluffy candy melts swirled together and coated with white almond bark for a festive and delicious treat that’s perfect for spring celebrations.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 20 to 24 pieces

Ingredients

Candy Melts Mixture

  • 12 oz pink candy melts
  • 12 oz yellow candy melts
  • 12 oz green candy melts
  • 12 oz whipped topping, thawed (divided into 3 portions of 4 oz each)

Coating

  • 1 lb white almond bark
  • Easter sprinkles (optional but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Melt Candy Melts: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the pink candy melts by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. Repeat this process separately with the yellow and green candy melts.
  2. Combine with Whipped Topping: Line an 8×8 inch dish with parchment paper. Add 4 ounces of whipped topping to each bowl of melted candy melts and gently fold together until fully combined to keep the mixture fluffy rather than dense.
  3. Assemble and Swirl: The mixture thickens quickly, so work promptly. Spoon dollops of each colored mixture into the prepared pan, then use a knife to swirl the colors together. Smooth the top of the mixture evenly.
  4. Freeze: Place the pan in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight to set properly.
  5. Melt Almond Bark: Melt the white almond bark in 30-second increments in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth to create a smooth coating.
  6. Cut and Dip: Remove the frozen candy from the freezer and cut into 20 to 24 equal pieces. Using two forks, dip each piece into the melted almond bark coating, then place onto a parchment-lined tray. Immediately sprinkle with Easter sprinkles before the coating sets.
  7. Set Coating: Repeat dipping with all the pieces. Place the tray in the refrigerator for approximately 10 minutes to allow the almond bark coating to fully harden.
  8. Serve: Once the coating is set, the candy is ready to be served and enjoyed.

Notes

  • Work quickly once the whipped topping is added to the melted candy melts as the mixture thickens rapidly.
  • Using parchment paper makes removal of the candy from the pan easier and cleaner.
  • Ensure the almond bark is fully melted and smooth for an even, glossy coating.
  • Chilling the candy in the freezer overnight will yield firmer pieces that cut cleanly.
  • Optional sprinkles add festive color and texture but can be omitted if preferred.
