Ingredients
Dressing Ingredients
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ to ½ cup milk (use as needed to thin the dressing)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- ¼ cup fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 medium lime)
Instructions
- Combine the Ingredients: Add sour cream, mayonnaise, fresh cilantro, parsley, dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and lime juice into a food processor or blender. Start with ¼ cup of milk to aid blending.
- Blend the Dressing: Pulse or blend the ingredients until the dressing is smooth and well combined, with no large herb pieces remaining, resulting in a creamy and herbaceous mixture.
- Adjust Consistency and Taste: Check the dressing’s thickness and add more milk as needed to achieve a pourable consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning by adding more salt or herbs if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor, but dried herbs can be substituted if needed.
- Adjust the amount of milk based on your preferred dressing thickness.
- Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Great as a salad dressing, dip for vegetables, or topping for grilled meats and tacos.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
