Delicious and quick Air Fryer Nachos featuring layers of crispy tortilla chips, seasoned ground beef or beans, and melted cheese, perfect for a tasty snack or casual meal in just minutes.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (90g) tortilla chips
  • 1 ½ cups (350g) ground beef chili, or cooked ground beef seasoned with cumin and chili powder and salsa, or black beans and salsa
  • 2 cups (160g) shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Fill the air fryer basket to one-third full with tortilla chips, making sure they are evenly spread for a good base layer.
  2. Add first layer toppings: Spoon half of the ground beef chili (or your choice of cooked ground beef or refried beans with salsa) evenly over the chips, then sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
  3. Add second layer of chips: Add another layer of tortilla chips to fill the basket about two-thirds full, creating a layered effect for even topping distribution.
  4. Add remaining toppings: Spread the remaining cooked chili mixture and the rest of the shredded cheese evenly over the chips.
  5. Cook the nachos: Set the air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and cook for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the nachos from the air fryer and serve immediately while hot and cheesy.

Notes

  • Use a mix of cheeses like cheddar and Monterey Jack for extra flavor.
  • If using black beans, drain them well to avoid soggy nachos.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce before cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and melting of cheese.
  • Serve with toppings like sour cream, guacamole, or pico de gallo for enhanced taste.
