Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 lbs chicken thighs
Seasoning and Marinade
- 2 tbsp garlic parsley salt
- 1 cup ranch dressing
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Trim any excess fat from the chicken thighs and optionally cut each thigh in half for quicker and more even cooking. Place the chicken pieces into a large mixing bowl.
- Marinate: Sprinkle the garlic parsley salt over the chicken, then pour the ranch dressing on top. Using your hands, thoroughly massage the marinade and seasoning into the chicken so it is evenly coated. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 6 hours, though overnight is preferred for maximum flavor and tenderness.
- Preheat the Grill: About 15 minutes before cooking, preheat your grill to high heat, aiming for approximately 380°F (193°C), ensuring it is clean and oiled to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken thighs on the grill. Cook them until they are golden brown on each side and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), usually around 2-3 minutes per side. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy and avoid undercooking for safety.
- Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve hot and enjoy the tender, flavorful grilled chicken thighs.
Notes
- For even more flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Using a meat thermometer ensures the chicken is safely cooked without drying out.
- If you don’t have garlic parsley salt, you can substitute with a mixture of garlic powder, dried parsley, and regular salt.
- This recipe works well on gas, charcoal, or electric grills.
- Allow the chicken to rest after grilling to retain juices.
