Ingredients
1 1/2 cups fresh watermelon (cut into cubes)
2 cups frozen strawberries
2 frozen bananas
Juice and zest of half a lime
2 tbsp vegan yogurt
1 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by cutting the watermelon into cubes, zesting the lime, and juicing it. Make sure the bananas and strawberries are frozen for a thicker, creamier smoothie.
- In a blender, combine the watermelon, frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, lime juice, lime zest, vegan yogurt, and maple syrup. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of water, coconut water, or more lime juice to reach the desired consistency. Blend again.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with extra lime zest or a slice of watermelon if desired.
Notes
If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, feel free to add more maple syrup or another sweetener of your choice.
If you’re not vegan, you can swap the vegan yogurt with regular or Greek yogurt for added protein.
Using frozen fruit is key to achieving a thick and creamy texture, but fresh fruit and ice cubes will also work if needed.
