Ingredients
Meat
- 454 grams ground beef (or any ground meat)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 onion, finely diced
Yogurt Sauce
- 1.5 cups plain yogurt
- ½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika (or less)
Additional Ingredients
- 350 grams pasta (any type you prefer)
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
- Chopped parsley (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with finely diced onions over medium heat. Season with onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are soft and translucent.
- Make the Yogurt Sauce: In a bowl, combine plain yogurt, minced garlic, and salt. Mix well and set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- Prepare the Butter Sauce: Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat. Stir in the sweet paprika carefully to avoid burning. Once combined and fragrant, remove from heat.
- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Assemble the Dish: Place cooked pasta on a serving dish. Top with the browned meat mixture. Drizzle the yogurt sauce generously over the pasta and meat. Finish by pouring the warm butter-paprika sauce on top.
- Garnish and Serve: Add halved cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of chopped parsley to brighten the dish. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground lamb or turkey according to your preference.
- Adjust the amount of garlic in the yogurt sauce to suit your taste; more garlic will provide stronger flavor.
- For a creamier sauce, use full-fat plain yogurt.
- Cherry tomatoes add freshness and color, but you may substitute with sliced fresh tomatoes if preferred.
- This recipe pairs well with a simple green salad and crusty bread.
