  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lbs round potatoes, thoroughly washed
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 5 ounce can coconut cream
  • 3 tbsp chicken bone broth
  • 2 tbsp melted ghee

Green Beans

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed ghee
  • 1/2 cup sliced raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Steak

  • 2 10-ounce Pre Brands Ribeye Steaks
  • 2 tbsp no sugar added steak seasoning
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp ghee

Mushrooms

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5-ounce portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley leaves
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Gravy

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp arrowroot starch
  • 1 cup chicken bone broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare Mashed Potatoes: Boil the round potatoes with peeled garlic cloves until tender. Drain and then blend with coconut cream, chicken bone broth, 2 tbsp of olive oil, melted ghee, and season with salt and pepper to create a creamy garlic mashed potato base.
  2. Cook Green Beans: Trim the green beans and blanch them briefly in salted boiling water until just tender-crisp. In a skillet, heat grass-fed ghee and toast the sliced almonds until golden. Add olive oil, lemon juice, and the green beans, stirring gently to combine. Season with sea salt.
  3. Season and Cook Steaks: Pat the ribeye steaks dry and rub evenly with the no sugar added steak seasoning and sea salt. Heat ghee in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steaks about 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  4. Sauté Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the sliced portobello mushrooms with minced garlic. Season with salt, pepper, coconut aminos, crushed red pepper flakes, and stir until mushrooms are tender and flavorful. Finish with chopped parsley.
  5. Make Gravy: Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté sliced onions until caramelized and soft. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk arrowroot starch into chicken bone broth and slowly add to the onions, stirring until the gravy thickens.
  6. Plate and Serve: Arrange the mashed potatoes on plates, add green beans beside them, place the ribeye steaks on top or alongside, spoon sautéed mushrooms over the steak or as a side, and drizzle with warm onion gravy. Serve immediately for a satisfying steak dinner.

Notes

  • Let steak rest at least 5 minutes after cooking to retain juices.
  • You can substitute ghee with grass-fed butter if preferred.
  • Arrowroot starch is used as a gluten-free thickener for the gravy.
  • Adjust crushed red pepper flakes based on preferred spice level.
  • Coconut cream adds a subtle richness to mashed potatoes without dairy.
