Made with fresh watermelon and zesty lemon juice, this sweet and tangy lemonade is a crowd favorite, especially when served over ice. With optional garnishes of mint leaves and lemon or lime slices, it’s a visually stunning and delicious treat for barbecues, pool parties, or simply lounging in the sun. Customize it with sparkling water for fizz or rum for an adult twist!

  • Total Time: 10 minutes (excluding chilling time)
  • Yield: 4–6 servings

Ingredients

4 cups fresh watermelon (seedless, cubed)

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

½ cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)

2 cups cold water

Ice cubes (as needed)

Mint leaves (for garnish)

Lemon or lime slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the fresh watermelon cubes and cold water. Blend until smooth.

  • Strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp (optional for smoother lemonade).

  • Stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey or simple syrup to taste. Adjust sweetness as desired.

  • Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to chill.

  • Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lemon or lime slices.

  • Enjoy your refreshing, sweet and tangy watermelon lemonade!

Notes

Add sparkling water or club soda just before serving for a fizzy version.

Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more honey or syrup.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
