Ingredients
1 16 ounce box saltine crackers
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir the mixture until everything is fully combined and the sugar has dissolved.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the crackers, making sure each cracker gets coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure the crackers bake evenly.
- Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool on the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make sure to stir the crackers every 5 minutes during baking to ensure even coating.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Can be frozen for up to 1 month.
