Smoky Savory Fire Crackers are a perfect blend of spice and crunch, offering a rich, buttery coating with smoky paprika, garlic, and a touch of heat from red pepper flakes. Ideal for parties, gatherings, or just a satisfying snack.

  • Total Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings

Ingredients

1 16 ounce box saltine crackers

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Stir the mixture until everything is fully combined and the sugar has dissolved.
  6. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the crackers, making sure each cracker gets coated with the seasoning mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure the crackers bake evenly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool on the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to stir the crackers every 5 minutes during baking to ensure even coating.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Can be frozen for up to 1 month.
