Ingredients
3 lbs frozen white sweet corn (or your preferred variety)
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher salt, to taste
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper medley, to taste
1 teaspoon seasoning mix of choice (such as Badia Complete Season)
2–4 cups water
Instructions
- Place frozen corn into the slow cooker.
- Add butter, salt, pepper, and seasoning mix on top.
- Pour in 2 cups water, adding more if needed to slightly cover corn.
- Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours or on low for 4–6 hours.
- Stir occasionally to distribute butter and seasonings evenly.
- Once tender and flavorful, serve warm directly from the slow cooker.
Notes
No need to thaw corn before cooking—it goes in frozen.
Canned corn can be substituted but reduce cook time.
Use olive oil or plant-based butter for a dairy-free option.
A variety of seasoning mixes (garlic herb, Cajun, Italian) work well.
Keep on warm setting up to 2 hours after cooking without losing texture.
Avoid overcooking to prevent mushy corn.
