Ingredients
Coffee Base
- 2 shots espresso
- 1 Tbsp salted caramel sauce
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Milk
- 240 mL milk of choice
Toppings
- Whipped cream, to taste
- 1 Tbsp salted caramel sauce for drizzling
- 1 tsp chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Prepare Salted Caramel Sauce: If making homemade salted caramel sauce, prepare it in advance so it’s ready to use when making the mocha.
- Create Caramel Rim and Espresso Mix: Dip the rim of your serving cup into the salted caramel sauce to coat the edge. Pour two shots of hot espresso into the cup. Add 1 tablespoon of salted caramel sauce and 1 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder to the espresso, stirring to combine thoroughly.
- Froth or Heat Milk: Froth or gently heat 240 mL of your preferred milk until it reaches your desired temperature and foaminess. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso mixture in the cup.
- Add Toppings and Serve: Top the mocha with a generous amount of whipped cream. Drizzle an additional tablespoon of salted caramel sauce over the whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings for added flavor and visual appeal.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately while warm and fresh for the best taste experience.
