- 4 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
Liquids & Sweetener
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar
- Juice of 1 lime (about 2–3 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Prepare Fruits: Rinse the fresh strawberries thoroughly and hull them by removing the green tops. Peel and cut the pineapple into chunks if not already prepared.
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the fresh pineapple chunks, strawberries, water, agave nectar, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Blend on high speed until smooth and well combined.
- Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp, or serve as is for more fiber content.
- Chill and Serve: Pour the agua fresca into a pitcher or individual glasses. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice for a refreshing experience.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less agave nectar according to taste.
- For a fizzy twist, substitute some of the water with sparkling water.
- Keep refrigerated and consume within 2 days for optimal freshness.
- Can be made vegan and gluten-free, suitable for a variety of diets.
