Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup pizza sauce
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Buns of your choice
Optional: Shredded mozzarella cheese (or other cheese varieties)
Instructions
-
Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
-
Form the ground beef into 4 burger patties and season with salt and pepper.
-
Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until your preferred level of doneness.
-
In the final minute of cooking, spoon pizza sauce over each patty.
-
Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the sauce and cook for another minute to warm the sauce.
-
Optionally, top each patty with shredded mozzarella cheese, allowing it to melt before removing from heat.
-
Place the cooked patties on buns and serve hot.
Notes
Cheese Options: Mozzarella, cheddar, or a cheese blend all work well.
Toppings: Add pizza-style toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, or olives for extra flavor.
Buns: For variety, try brioche, sesame, or even garlic bread buns.
