Mongolian Noodles with Ground Beef is a quick and flavorful dish that combines savory beef, sweet and tangy sauces, and linguine for a satisfying meal. It’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner with bold Asian-inspired flavors.

  • Total Time: 20-25 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

16 oz box of linguine

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup hoisin sauce

2/3 cup beef broth

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Green onion, optional (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat a little oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Sauté the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked ground beef and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Combine the Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the beef. Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated and the sauce is heated through. Allow the noodles to absorb the sauce for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

If you prefer more heat, add extra red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha to the sauce.

You can add vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas to the skillet with the garlic for extra crunch.

Substitute linguine with other noodles like rice noodles, soba noodles, or spaghetti for a different texture.

Use lean ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef to make the dish lighter.
