Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1 cup water
2 ¼ cups fresh lemon juice
7 cups cool water
2 cups ice
¾ cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves to make a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a blender, puree the blueberries with a splash of water until smooth. Strain through a sieve if desired for a smoother texture.
- In a large pitcher, combine simple syrup, lemon juice, blueberry puree, and 7 cups of cool water. Stir well.
- Add ice to the pitcher or serving glasses.
- Serve chilled and enjoy the vibrant pink lemonade.
Notes
Use raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries instead of blueberries for variation.
