Ingredients
Chocolate Mixture
- 3 ounces (85.05 g) chocolate, milk, semisweet or dark, finely chopped
- 4½ teaspoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons hot chocolate mix
Liquid and Ice
- 1½ cups (366 ml) milk, divided
- 3 cups (42 g) ice
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan over low heat, gently melt the finely chopped chocolate until smooth. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
- Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the melted chocolate, granulated sugar, hot chocolate mix, half of the milk (¾ cup), and ice cubes.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until the ice is fully crushed and the drink is creamy and frothy, typically about 1 to 2 minutes. Check the consistency and sweetness and add the remaining milk if the mixture is too thick or to taste.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the frozen hot chocolate into glasses and serve immediately with optional whipped cream or chocolate shavings for extra indulgence.

- You can use any kind of milk: whole, skim, or plant-based alternatives.
