Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon olive oil or chili oil
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup (96g) dark brown sugar
1/4 cup (60g) buffalo sauce
2 tablespoons (30g) rice vinegar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, buffalo sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
-
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef, cooking until browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes.
-
Pour the sauce over the beef, stir to coat, and let sit undisturbed for 30–60 seconds to caramelize.
-
Stir again and cook 2–3 more minutes until thickened and crispy at the edges.
-
Serve hot over rice, noodles, or in wraps.
Notes
Substitute ground chicken, turkey, if desired.
Add bell peppers, green beans, or broccoli for extra veggies.
Adjust heat level by reducing red pepper flakes or using a milder buffalo sauce.
Great for meal prep—refrigerate or freeze for later.
