Dip Base
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
Everything Bagel Seasoning Mix
- 1 1/2 Tbsp minced dried onion
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
- 2 tsp toasted white sesame seeds
- 2 tsp black sesame seeds (or more toasted white sesame seeds)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
Instructions
- Whip Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to whip the softened cream cheese until fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes. This step ensures a smooth and airy base for the dip.
- Add Sour Cream and Mayonnaise: Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to the whipped cream cheese, then blend until fully combined and creamy.
- Prepare Everything Bagel Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, toss together the minced dried onion, poppy seeds, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, and garlic powder. Set aside 1 teaspoon of this mixture to use later as a garnish.
- Combine Seasoning with Dip: Pour the remaining seasoning mix into the cream cheese mixture and stir well to evenly distribute the flavors. Season with kosher salt to taste, and optionally add a little pepper if desired.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the reserved 1 teaspoon of seasoning mixture on top of the dip for a visually appealing finish. Serve immediately with bagel chips, crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week. For a thinner consistency, you can add a splash of milk.
