These Chicken Teriyaki & Rice Burritos combine the savory flavors of teriyaki chicken with fresh vegetables and brown rice, all wrapped in a soft tortilla. A quick and satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights or a flavorful lunch option, these burritos offer a delicious fusion of Asian-inspired ingredients in a fun, handheld format.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Protein & Sauce

  • 1 (20 oz) box Crazy Cuizine Teriyaki Chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 crown of broccoli, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced

Grains & Wraps

  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1 package large tortilla rounds

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil and Cook Chicken. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a pan or wok and heat over medium-high. When the oil is hot, add the teriyaki chicken and stir-fry until it is heated through and slightly browned, which enhances the flavor and texture.
  2. Cook the Vegetables. Add the chopped broccoli and thinly sliced carrots to the pan with the chicken. Continue cooking until the vegetables are just tender but still crisp, maintaining their vibrant color and nutrients.
  3. Add Teriyaki Sauce to Chicken & Vegetables. Stir in two-thirds of the teriyaki sauce included with the chicken. Mix everything thoroughly until all the chicken and vegetables are well coated with the savory sauce. Remove from heat once combined.
  4. Mix Remaining Sauce with Rice. In a separate bowl, stir the remaining one-third of the teriyaki sauce into the hot cooked brown rice, infusing it with flavor and moisture to complement the chicken filling.
  5. Assemble the Burritos. Lay a large tortilla flat and add a layer of the sauced rice in the middle section. Top with a generous portion of the teriyaki chicken and vegetable mixture. Fold in the ends of the tortilla, then roll the side closest to you tightly over the filling, pulling it toward you as you roll forward until the burrito is fully wrapped.

Notes

  • You can substitute the Crazy Cuizine Teriyaki Chicken with homemade teriyaki chicken or any pre-cooked teriyaki chicken for convenience.
  • Feel free to customize the vegetables; bell peppers or snap peas would also pair well.
  • To make the burritos portable for lunch or picnics, wrap tightly in foil to hold their shape.
  • Brown rice can be replaced with white rice if preferred, but brown rice adds a nuttier flavor and more fiber.
