Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
Wrap Fillings
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup Blue cheese or Ranch dressing
- 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot, shredded
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken strips: Slice the boneless skinless chicken breasts into several long, thin strips to ensure quick and even cooking.
- Marinate the chicken: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, Frank’s Hot Sauce, paprika, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Add the chicken strips to the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
- Cook the chicken: Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink inside and nicely cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- Prepare the tortillas: While the chicken is cooking, lay the flour tortillas flat on a plate. Spread a thin layer of blue cheese or ranch dressing evenly across each tortilla.
- Assemble the wraps: Top the dressed tortillas with chopped romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add cooked chicken and wrap: Arrange several cooked chicken strips down the center of each tortilla. Carefully wrap the tortillas tightly like a burrito to secure all the fillings inside.
- Serve: Serve the Buffalo Chicken Wraps immediately with extra hot sauce or dressing on the side if desired. Enjoy your flavorful and hearty meal!
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for longer for a more intense buffalo flavor.
- Use gluten-free tortillas if you want to make this wrap gluten-free.
- For a spicier wrap, add extra hot sauce or sprinkle some cayenne pepper into the marinade.
- Swap cheddar cheese for mozzarella or Monterey Jack if preferred.
- Leftover wraps can be wrapped tightly in foil and refrigerated for up to 1 day, but are best fresh.
