Bubble Up Biscuit Pizza Casserole combines the convenience of buttermilk biscuits with all your favorite pizza toppings for a cheesy, comforting, and quick meal. It’s a simple and fun twist on traditional pizza that’s perfect for busy nights.

  • Total Time: 40-45 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings

Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (see NOTES)

1 (15 oz) jar pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Pizza toppings of choice (e.g., pepperoni, Italian sausage, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Open the cans of buttermilk biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. You can either use kitchen scissors or a knife to cut them.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the biscuit pieces with the pizza sauce, making sure each biscuit piece is well-coated.
  4. Add your desired pizza toppings to the biscuit and sauce mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the biscuit mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, and the biscuits are fully cooked through.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in the microwave for a few minutes or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until the casserole is heated through.

You can substitute regular biscuits, pizza dough, or crescent rolls for the buttermilk biscuits if preferred.

For a spicier kick, try adding spicy sausage or red pepper flakes.

Feel free to use homemade pizza sauce or any store-bought version of your choice.
