Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (see NOTES)
1 (15 oz) jar pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Pizza toppings of choice (e.g., pepperoni, Italian sausage, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Open the cans of buttermilk biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. You can either use kitchen scissors or a knife to cut them.
- In a large bowl, mix the biscuit pieces with the pizza sauce, making sure each biscuit piece is well-coated.
- Add your desired pizza toppings to the biscuit and sauce mixture. Stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the biscuit mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, and the biscuits are fully cooked through.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the microwave for a few minutes or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until the casserole is heated through.
You can substitute regular biscuits, pizza dough, or crescent rolls for the buttermilk biscuits if preferred.
For a spicier kick, try adding spicy sausage or red pepper flakes.
Feel free to use homemade pizza sauce or any store-bought version of your choice.
