Big Mac Tacos (Smash Burger Tacos) are a creative twist on the classic Big Mac, featuring crispy beef patties, melted cheese, Big Mac sauce, and all the familiar toppings, wrapped in a soft tortilla.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 tacos

Ingredients

For the burgers: 1 lbs Ground Beef (80/20), divided into 4 (4oz) patties, 4 6-inch flour tortillas, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 4 slices American cheese, ¼ cup Big Mac sauce, ¾ cup shredded lettuce, 3 tablespoons minced white onion, 12 dill pickle slices

For the Big Mac sauce: ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard or yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, 2 tablespoons grated white onion, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, grated onion, sweet pickle relish, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the patties: Season the beef patties with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Cook the patties: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the hot surface and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy. Flip and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  4. Warm the tortillas: Heat the flour tortillas in a separate pan for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly toasted.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Place each patty on a tortilla. Drizzle with Big Mac sauce, top with shredded lettuce, minced onions, and dill pickle slices.
  6. Serve: Fold the tortilla into a taco shape and serve with extra Big Mac sauce on the side.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the beef patties with plant-based patties or grilled vegetables.

If you prefer a milder pickle flavor, swap dill pickles for bread-and-butter pickles.

Feel free to add extra toppings like tomatoes, fried egg, or shredded cheese for more variety.
