  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cheeseburger bombs

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/3 cup finely minced or grated white onion

1/3 cup chopped dill pickles, finely chopped

1/2 lb block of American cheese

1 package of 24 frozen dinner rolls

1 large egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with onion powder, garlic salt, salt, and black pepper. Once cooked, drain excess fat and remove from heat.

  3. Add the Onions and Pickles: Stir in the minced onions and chopped dill pickles. Let the mixture cool slightly.

  4. Prepare the Cheese: Slice the block of American cheese into small squares or tear it into pieces for easier portioning.

  5. Assemble the Bombs: Flatten each frozen dinner roll with your hands. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center, then top with a piece of cheese. Fold the edges around the filling and pinch tightly to seal.

  6. Arrange in Baking Dish: Place the sealed bombs in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each one.

  7. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the tops of each bomb with the beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish.

  8. Bake: Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the bombs and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  9. Serve: Let the bombs cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, like ketchup, mustard, or a homemade Big Mac sauce!

Notes

Cheese Variations: Feel free to use cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss cheese for a different flavor.

Spicy Kick: Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture for a spicy twist.

Vegetarian Option: Substitute the ground beef with plant-based ground meat or sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
