Ingredients
½ cup peaches, sliced
½ cup raspberries
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup water
1 cup black tea, chilled
2 to 4 tablespoons peach raspberry syrup (adjust based on desired sweetness)
Handful of ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, raspberries, granulated sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the fruit breaks down. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the fruit softens and the syrup thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove fruit pulp. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until ready to use.
- Brew the black tea and cool it to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator.
- Fill a glass with ice, pour in the chilled black tea, and add 2 to 4 tablespoons of the peach raspberry syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Garnish with fresh peach slices, raspberries, or mint leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
If you prefer a sweeter iced tea, add more peach raspberry syrup. For less sweetness, use less syrup or dilute with more tea or water.
For a different flavor, you can use green tea or herbal tea as the base.
For a sparkling twist, top with sparkling or soda water.
