  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: 8–10 servings

Ingredients

3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy cream

1/4 cup (35 g) powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120 g) sour cream

11 oz (312 g) can mandarin oranges, well drained

10 oz (about 3/4 cup) maraschino cherries, well drained and stems removed

1 (8 oz) can pineapple tidbits, well drained

1 1/2 cups (120 g) sweetened shredded coconut

4 cups (200 g) mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. Fold in the sour cream until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently stir in mandarin oranges, cherries, pineapple tidbits, shredded coconut, and mini marshmallows.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend and salad to chill.
  5. Serve cold as a side dish or light dessert.

Notes

Chill overnight for deeper flavor and best texture.

Fresh fruit like grapes, strawberries, or bananas can be added.

Add cream cheese to the whipped mixture for extra richness.

Nuts such as pecans or walnuts add crunch.

Rinse and dry cherries well to prevent color bleeding.
