  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

1 pound asparagus, trimmed

2 teaspoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper

1/4 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon cream cheese

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Arrange the asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic salt and cracked pepper. Toss the asparagus to coat evenly.

  • Roast the asparagus for 10-12 minutes or until tender.

  • While the asparagus roasts, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream and cream cheese, whisking until smooth.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and continue to stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  • Remove the asparagus from the oven and pour the Alfredo sauce over it. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can make the Alfredo sauce ahead of time and reheat it before serving.

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or milk.

To add more flavor, sauté garlic before adding the cream and cheese to the sauce.
